Back in the Groove of Writing

It's been a while, friends! After a hiatus from writing that started in 2019, I'm excited to be back and sharing updates on the various initiatives and projects I've been working on.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for your patience and continued support during my time away from the blogosphere. The past few years have been a whirlwind of personal and professional growth, and I'm thrilled to reconnect and bring you all along on this journey.

One of the most significant milestones has been my pursuit of a doctoral program at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. As a student in the Philanthropic Leadership program, I've been immersed in a world of knowledge, exploring the intricate dynamics of philanthropy and its impact on society. This academic endeavor has not only expanded my understanding but has also fueled my passion for creating positive change and adding the Muslim philanthropy narrative back into storytelling.

Alongside my studies, I've been diligently working on a book that aims to empower Muslim women in navigating personal finance and philanthropy. This project is close to my heart, as I believe in the transformative power of financial literacy and the profound impact it can have on individuals and communities. Daybreak Publishing will be publishing the book and in sha Allah it’ll be out by May 2024.

Additionally, I've been actively involved in my consulting company, Nissa Consulting, where I work closely with Muslim women clients to develop tailored solutions and strategies to achieve their nonprofit infrastructure and capacity goals. It's been a rewarding experience to collaborate with organizations and individuals who share a common vision of creating a better world.

Moreover, I've had the honor of serving as a Research Fellow at the Muslim Philanthropy Institute (MPI). This role has allowed me to delve deeper into the nuances of Muslim women’s generosity and philanthropic behaviors, conducting research and contributing to the broader discourse on this important topic. It ties in very well to my doctoral research too!

As I embark on this new chapter, I'm filled with excitement and a renewed sense of purpose. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I'm thrilled to be back in the groove, sharing my thoughts, experiences, and insights with all of you.

In the coming weeks and months, you can expect to see a steady stream of content exploring various aspects of philanthropy, personal finance, and the intersection of these domains with faith and culture. I'll be sharing research findings, practical tips, and thought-provoking perspectives that I hope will inspire and empower you on your own journeys.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for joining me on this exciting adventure. Together, we can continue to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Here's to reigniting the flame of writing and embarking on a new chapter filled with possibilities!
